Steven A. Hicks
Mr. Hicks is a graduate of the University of Michigan (A.B., 1989) and the University of Michigan Law School (J.D., 1992). He is licensed to practice law in Michigan and Illinois. He currently serves on the Executive Board of the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association. He also sits on the Council of the Negligence Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan. Mr. Hicks is a member of the American Bar Association, the ABA Tort and Insurance Practice Section, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Ingham County Bar Association, and the Eaton County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Western and Eastern Districts of Michigan. Mr. Hicks specializes in providing legal representation to injured or disabled persons. He assists them in recovering insurance benefits and in seeking damages from the parties responsible for injuring them. He also represents individuals who have been wrongfully discharged, or who have been discriminated against in the workplace, and advises employers on how to address problems in the workplace in an effort to avoid litigation. In addition, he handles commercial litigation on behalf of businesses, large and small, and counsels them on business matters, particularly contract disputes.
